Figs...

To draw from observation of a fruit is one way to train the eye, and the pencil work, by representing it in shades until volume and texture are developed.

"Fresh mint"...

There are things I would like to work on further in this watercolor but I rather just go on to next attempt. It feels freer and more exiting in my mind than to fiddle around too long. Maybe one day I get to the freshness and simplicity I try work toward. Maybe one day...

"Orchid in green bottle"...

sold
I broke the orchid and I thought I should at least do something with it.
This didn't turn out much as expected; the paper dried to fast as it was very hot again in town today.
The colors are nicer on the original painting than on this scanned copy, even making corrections the computer doesn't seem to be able to produce the same.
I hope more is to come...

"Stones and red sea shell"...

Back from holidays I continue what I said I should do before leaving, use up this paper I like which comes in postcards size. The first one is shown when I mentioned it a few "posts" ago.
A bit disappointed I haven't worked more during those days off, but maybe that's why we call them "days off"? I'm now back with joy to be back to everyday routine and to paint regularly again...
